FOGGOLAZO! 2024 AUCTION IS LIVE

-- Support SFYS and grab exciting opportunities and gifts for you, your player, and the whole family!

At our 3rd Annual FOGGOLAZO! (Fog+Golazo!):

  • Dozens of incoming 2nd and 3rd grade teams will compete in the Summer Jamboree, but all friends and family are welcome to participate in the FOGGOLAZO!

  • The Futboleros will be on hand to entertain and train, there'll be a photo booth for player photos, sponsor tables, San Jose Earthquakes street team, USF and Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep Varsity players, soccer challenges and demonstrations, arts & crafts and joy!
  • The SFYS Youth Advisory Council will be on hand, as well as the SFYS volunteer Board, SF Ref Camp graduates, local soccer clubs, current and former SF Youth Soccer players, referees, coaches, managers and Team STARs, and ... YOU!

 

PARTICIPATE
  • Fall 2nd & 3rd Grade Teams, prepare for Fall and play proper matches on the day in our Summer Jamboree!

  • Players, Referees and Teams can fundraise to compete for awesome prizes! Plus, everyone who participates in the fundraising will get a FOGGOLAZO! logo t-shirt, designed by a local artist. (Logos are unique every year - start your collection now!)

  • SFYS PLAY IT FORWARD Gear Exchange: Bring your gently used (still usable) soccer gear to the FOGGOLAZO! At Fort Scott on August 18th between 10am - 4pm.

Looking for an environmentally friendly way to get rid of that gear that your player has outgrown or those size 3 soccer balls your team won’t be using any more?  Wishing there was a way to get a pair of cleats that your player could use just for one season (because they just simply Won't. Stop. Growing.)?!  Great news!  Check out the SFYS PLAY IT FORWARD Gear Exchange table at this year’s FOGGOLAZO.  Drop off your gently used items and look for something your player or team needs.  PLAY IT FORWARD will be “open” all day for business, operating on the honors system, while supplies are available.

Activities will go on throughout the day so families may join us for the celebrations at any time between 10 and 4.
(The 2nd & 3rd Grade Summer Jamboree is from 9-5.)

EVENT FAQs


Q. If my team is playing in the Jamboree, do I need to be at FOGGOLAZO! for the whole event?

A. No! FOGGOLAZO! is a drop-in event. Jamboree teams will play in the morning or afternoon, and are free to come and go as they please around their schedule!

 

Q. Are family and friends outside of SFYS allowed to come to FOGGOLAZO!?

A. Yes! FOGGOLAZO! is a community soccer event that is completely open to the public. Invite as many soccer people as you would like to come and support SFYS and engage in all of the fun activities listed above!

 

Q. What is the difference between the Summer Jamboree and FOGGOLAZO!?

A. Our Summer Jamboree takes place during FOGGOLAZO! Games will take place between 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm. The Jamboree is an opportunity for our 2nd and 3rd grade teams and our newest youth refs to get in a little preseason action! Learn more about the summer Jamboree.

Aside from league play, which is funded by player registration, all SFYS Equity & Youth Leadership Programming is donation-centric. Supplemental programs are considered integral to the foundation of our soccer community and for building future leaders on and off the field. Help us reach our goal of $50,000 for SF Youth Soccer financial aid and programming, including our free SFYS @ School program and our Youth Advisory Council.


Our annual FOGGOLAZO! event combines the preseason 2nd & 3rd Grade Summer Jamboree (which offers incoming teams and new youth referees game day experience) with a Community Soccer Day that highlights and helps raise funds for the types of support we offer to the soccer community.

Come have fun and help us raise funds to keep soccer in San Francisco local, affordable, accessible and holistic!
